Synopsis:

Notes:

Finished in 1948 but suppressed as not enough socialist-realist until Lem expanded it into a triptych dealing also with post-war reconstruction published as "Czas nieutracony" (Time Not Wasted); reportedly later publications (including presumably the translation) returned to the original state.
